Step 1: Dispatch
The moment the call comes in, Fire Test Response sends text alerts and/or mobile app notifications to your smartphone within seconds. Responders receive the actual dispatch page audio along with GPS information, and even weather alerts within the firefighter pager app. Armed with all of this information they know exactly what to do, where to go, and what the situation at hand is. Meanwhile, at the station, the dispatch page audio is looped from the flat-screen and replayed so all responding personnel can hear the dispatch again.
Step 2: Response
As soon as they receive the alert, personnel reply with their status and their response is immediately sent to the entire team with one simple tap of the button. Instantly, everyone knows who is en-route to station, en-route to scene, delayed, or not available. All products are parts and labor warranted for 1 year starting the day you go online with the system. A broadband internet connection (512kbps or higher) is required for optimum performance. A backup up is recommended, however, if power is lost, the system will reboot and restart itself after power is restored so you’re ready to go. No, the only way we can guarantee everything will work as it should is if the entire system is specifically designed to work with the Fire Text Response system.
Yes, absolutely! We want your personnel to have all the information available to them. We can build a Google Map pinpointing the location of the incident and send that directly to the mobile apps within seconds. If your dispatch center can send GPS or CAD address and brief narrative data, we can forward that info on to the mobile apps. In addition, we can accept partial data along with a narrative of the nature of the call and any information vital to the incident and send it directly to the responders.
Rule of thumb is if the radio tower that pages your department is more than 5 miles away, an external antenna will be needed. We sell a very good one that includes 65 feet of cable for $125. However, any good scanner antenna will do very well also.
Yes. If there is a WiFi signal available, the mobile app will use it. Otherwise, it will work off of cellular data. Despite all the features of our app, it is optimized to minimize data usage for all users.
